weather&noise designs are the creations of Christine Sharp-Crowe. The weather&noise line includes screen printed linen tea towels, homewares, and artwork. In addition, Christine prints some of her illustrations and graphics and makes them into pocket mirrors, bottle openers, book page prints, and sometimes even a bit of jewelry.
Christine is the organizer of Indie Emporium, an annual art/craft/fashion show that has been happening since 2007. Indie Emporium opened a retail space called made : The Indie Emporium Shop in downtown Tulsa in 2011 and has since opened a second location in the Pearl District. In the spring of 2013, Christine partnered up with a dear friend and planned an indie bridal show called Marry Me Indie. She is also the founder of make:Tulsa a community group of Tulsa handmade business owners.
In Spring 2014, Christine graduated from Academy of Art University with her BFA in Interior Architecture and Design. She has worked in galleries and for designers and continues her study of fine arts and design both through school and in her personal time.
Christine is usually playing shopgirl at made, working in her studio at home, or dreaming up space designs and events. The rest of her time is spent reading design blogs, obsessively browsing textiles online, baking, discovering new artists on etsy, traveling to indie craft events, hanging out with her little buddy Tucker and her dashing husband Thom, or spending time with her crafty make:Tulsa friends. It’s a sweet DIY kind of life she leads.
